Foundation Overview
Suman Foundation has been registered as a Trust in the year 2023 in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. This Trust has been set up to commemorate the loving memory of
L. Sh Gajadhar Singh and his wife L. Smt Gendo Devi, parents of
Sh Ramji Lal Suman, the Settler/Chairman of the Foundation.
The Trust has been set up as a non-profit organisation for charitable purposes. The vision of the trust is to promote an egalitarian social order and inculcate a modern outlook in the society. The focus of the Foundation is to work with and for the marginalised and weaker sections of our society. Educate; Empower by imparting various skills to the youth; Spreading awareness about gender issues; Development in harmony with the environment; Spreading happiness.
Chairman
Sh Ramji Lal Suman
He is a sitting Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and a veteran socialist leader. He has served four terms in the Lok Sabha and also as a Central Minister. He has a commitment for socialist principles of an egalitarian and just social order. His life is a journey of fighting for the cause of the last man.
Trustee
Sh Ranjeet Suman
He is an ex-Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Uttar Pradesh. He is a public oriented active member with a desire to work for ordinary people.
He is son of Sh Ramji Lal Suman.
Managing Trustee
Sh Swami Singh
He is an ex-officer of Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He has a rich and varied experience of working in the government and private sector in various capacities. He believes that quality education, awareness about gender and environmental and health issues will promote a healthy social order.
He is younger brother of
Sh Ramji Lal Suman.
Trustee
Dr Dev Swarup
He is an educationist. He worked in UGC and later served as Vice-Chancellor, Rajasthan University, and thereafter Vice-Chancellor,
Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Law University, Jaipur, Rajasthan. Currently, he is serving as
Vice-Chancellor, Baba Amte Divyang University, Jaipur Rajasthan. He is recognised as a very competent education administrator.
He is also brother of Sh Ramji Lal Suman, younger to Sh Swami Singh.
